HOPE COLLEGE CELEBRATES BACK-TO-BACK EXCELLENCE IN WASSCE SCIENCE

Hope College is proud to announce another remarkable academic milestone as Miss Matthea Aba Andoh has been honoured by the West Africa Examinations Council (WAEC) as the Overall Best Student in the General Science programme for the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

This outstanding achievement marks the second consecutive year that Hope College has produced the top science student in the WASSCE, following the success of David Ankrah, who earned the same distinction in 2024. Miss Andoh’s accomplishment further reinforces the school’s commitment to academic excellence and its strong tradition of nurturing high-performing students in the sciences.

In addition to her recognition as the best General Science student, Miss Andoh also distinguished herself as the Overall Third Best Candidate among all school candidates in the 2025 WASSCE—an honour that underscores her exceptional dedication, discipline, and intellectual ability.

The award ceremony was a proud and memorable occasion, attended by Miss Andoh’s parents, school officials, current students, and alumni of Hope College. Their presence reflected the strong community support and shared commitment to excellence that continues to define the institution.

Hope College warmly congratulates Miss Matthea Aba Andoh on this momentous achievement. Her success serves as an inspiration to her peers and a testament to what can be accomplished through hard work, perseverance, and the right educational environment.

As the school celebrates this back-to-back national recognition, it remains steadfast in its mission to empower students to excel academically and contribute meaningfully to society.
